Cliff Dwellers

I have had two experiences visiting a cliff dwelling place. Last year I went to Mesa Verde, and last week I went to a cliff dwelling museum.
Kivas are small dome shaped huts used for celebrations. There is a hole at the top were a ladder would be set that goes into a small circle dug deep into the ground.
Some of the buildings have hundreds of rooms some the size of a small apartment and others the size of a desk. All of them had three or four families sharing them.
They thought of great ways of living. They made a small rectangular box carved in the rock to store food in. it would keep it cool year round. The doors of their houses were as small as windows and high up to keep animals out during the night.
I think the cliff dwelling Indians were very interesting.

Nice essay for school Maya... You are a good writer. You should put some of your descriptive writing on here.

What kind of celebrations would they have? Would it be used for both happy and sad celebrations?
